Ex-STOMPer and writer/director, Chad Kukahiko, returns to the stage for limited run of one-man show.

January 25th, 2012 - Friday and Saturday, one of the first American cast members of the Off-Broadway hit STOMP and writer/director, Chad Kukahiko, will return to the stage after nearly a decade's absence with his one-man show "Leprechauns & Lies" at the Lifebook Playhouse Theater in Hollywood. Both evening shows are sold out and Saturday's second show, scheduled for 7pm, was sold-out within 24 hours of going on-sale. Having spent over two decades to create this piece, which Chad refers to as his "Being and Nothingness", Kukahiko uses song, story, comedy, dance and multi-media in an attempt to bring the audience through their own existential crisis, and in his words, "hopefully out the other side without too many casualties."

Though Chad spent two years as one of the first Americans to tour with STOMP in the 90s, played drums later as an Elektra Records recording artist in the band Kane, while acting in film, TV and theater through the early 2000s, he stopped performing entirely in 2005 to realize his lifelong dream of becoming an auteur. As the head of superfreako productions he's helmed dozens of internet, short format and transmedia projects, including "time/trip" - which was featured in a article late last year. His return to the stage for this three performance-only run is due to the fact that completing this particular project has also been a decades old dream, one which he's fostered since before its first incarnation eighteen years ago.

"Leprechauns & Lies" will also mark the very first theatrical offering from superfreako productions, better known for their film, video, web and transmedia properties - including "time/trip",, "carefully descending" and the animated web series "Last Days: Ante Diem", the first episode of which premiered in early December as a Celtx Seeds grant recipient. Episode two is due shortly after this very limited run of "Leprechauns & Lies".

"Leprechauns & Lies" runs an hour-fifteen without intermission and the performances will be Friday at 8pm and Saturday at 3pm and 7pm. A very limited number of industry and press comps are available for all three shows, but will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. Regular tickets are no longer available for either of the evening performances, which are both sold out, but a limited number are still available for the Saturday 3pm show and can be purchased online at or by calling Brown Paper Tickets at 1-800-838-3006.
