Life-long dream get's extension in Best of Fringe solo series.

July 30th, 2012 - From the frenzied 2012 Hollywood Fringe Festival, Chad Kukahiko's solo show 'Leprechauns & Lies' emerged with an LA Weekly GO', glowing reviews, a 'Best Solo Show' nom and an extension in the 'Best of the Fringe' series at the Theatre Asylum. Mr. Kukahiko, an ex-STOMP performer and now Creative Director of independent LA production company superfreako productions, has been developing 'Leprechauns' for more than two decades. This Hollywood Fringe run was the first time in over 18 years that any version of the piece was made available for public consumption, and to mark the occasion Chad teamed up with the same director from that January 1994 incarnation - solo show expert and ASU theatre doctoral student Laurelann Porter.

An experimental one-man show which Kukahiko hopes "eases the audience through their own individual existential crises," the realization of this piece has been Chad's dream for more than half his 40 years, even though quite a departure from superfreako productions' normal fare - film and new media commercial, transmedia and short-format productions.

'Leprechauns & Lies' will have only TWO performances in the Best of Fringe series - Friday, August 4th and Saturday, August 17th, both @ 9pm, at the Theatre Asylum Lab, at 1780 Lillian Way in Hollywood. The show runs 65 minutes and has no intermission. Tickets are only $10 and are on-sale now at LeprechaunsAndLies.com/tix. The Theatre Asylum Lab only seats forty, so people eager to see the show should not wait until the last second to buy tickets. Reservations are first-come first-served.
